What’s the best textbook to prepare for the CAE exam?
The most comprehensive textbook to use to prepare for the Cambridge Advanced English exam is Ready for Advanced by Roy Norris and Amanda French. I use it in all my courses with students preparing for the CAE exam, and I wouldn’t consider using a different book.
Another invaluable resource when you’re preparing for the CAE exam is the book by Cambridge that contains multiple tests from previous exams. It’s called Cambridge English Certificate in Advanced English. There are two versions of the book available, one with audio CDs and one without. It’s a great way to prepare for the exam and get comfortable with the exact type of questions you’ll see on the exam.
